Context
Altman posted the single word 'her' as OpenAI showed ChatGPT's new voice mode, a reference to the 2013 film in which Scarlett Johansson voices an AI companion. A week later Johansson said she had declined an offer to voice ChatGPT and that the post suggested the similar-sounding 'Sky' voice was intentional; an OpenAI statement said Sky was never intended to resemble her voice, and the company took the Sky voice down.

Outrage
Johansson wrote that she was 'shocked, angered and in disbelief' and was forced to hire legal counsel, and said Altman 'insinuated that the similarity was intentional, tweeting a single word, her'; OpenAI paused the Sky voice, and Blood in the Machine and others pilloried the stunt.
